i hate being ill, but lying in bed listening to the radio and this came on and it cheered me up. nice and breezy and happy. and i encourage international relationships- serious dedication.
sometimes you just need to sit back and mellow away, allow yourself to let go, drift away with your thoughts. and be assured you will come back fair and fine, a little more peaceful, and easy.
foals arre well good, much much much needed good boy rock which i have missed since weekend in the city came out. fluid style- they are going to be way big. playing at astoria on the 17th and are touring lots of other places including the royal albert hall-have a look and preorder their debut album - antidotes (released 24th march) - here.
last month dazed and confused described her as the 'nordic musical wunderkind' who wiled away her youth 'writing poetry and ballet dancing on top of portugese mountains to the strains of madonna's immaculate collection'. and after buying lykke li's debut album, youth novels, yesterday- i smiled. the 21-year-old swedish fledgling's certainly got the right sound. hazy, harmonic- full of variety. and mystical; a voice with that edge that just makes you wonder and amaze, float and run, grin and giggle. support her and buy it too, brighten up your weekend .
i've noticed, in old books (as in 1920s sorta thing not actually old-just old for me) that people greet each other saying 'hullo' as opposed to our clever modern 'hello'. curious, no? not really.
so i havent done much postting last few weeks, BUTTTTTTT i have been to barcelona which was pretty amazing and i will try and make up with a big lot of special songs to put a spring in your step.

goodas goodas morning . today is so nice oooh wee weather. and holidays are seriously THE best idea around. so here is some really really good goodnesss sounds from monoblock (note glochkenshpiel machine) and metronomy which are fun and make you squirm a little. oh yes AND some flight of the conchords live recording, which are amazing if you dont already know.

for christmas i was given will ferrels first movie, night at the roxbury, on dvd and it is fully amazing. it is about night clubs amongst other things,very very 90's pop glittry glam, the invention of the super woofer boom box, that sort of thing. watch it to the end.
